COVID19

As we start the year in a distance learning phase, please view the Distance Learning Addendum to see the updated expectations of the class. This addendum replaces some of the expectations in the normal course syllabus. As the year progresses, expectations may change based on the situation indicated by the District.

Description

In this class, students begin to recognize the importance of engineering in our society. They are introduced to and use the design process to solve problems and understand the influence that creative and innovative design has on our everyday lives. Students learn about the history and impact of automation and robotics as they explore mechanical systems, energy transfer, machine automation, and computer control systems. Using the VEX Robotics® platform, students apply what they know to design and program traffic lights, robotic arms, and more.
